Family Nurse Practitioner

Angus Smalls-Walker

Angus has spent the last 4 years working solely in pain management in the great state of Arizona as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). He has an extensive history in participating in physical sports and continues to have an active lifestyle in which pain is no stranger to him. He has a passion for treating patients in pain management so they can continue their best quality of life. Pain can negatively impact an individual’s life, alter family dynamics, impact careers, and decrease quality of life. It has been Angus’ goal to help diminish suffering for his patients from pain and improve their quality of life. Angus started his medical career in 2012 after acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from one of the top nursing schools in the nation from Tarleton State University. Shortly after, he was offered an opportunity to work in a carefully selected Emergency Department (ED) internship at the level 1 trauma center Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. It was at this moment that he desired to educate his patients by providing more personalized care and pursued a Master’s Degree in Family Nurse Partitioning. He finished his Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in 2017 with focus on all lifespan patients. When Angus is not educating, performing best practice procedures, and talking about wrist watches with his patients, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, attending church, and training for combat sports.
